Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Gnotheia (“Gnotheia,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with our websites, applications, and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
- Account and identity. When you sign up or sign in, our authentication systems may process identifiers such as email address, name, and profile information you choose to provide.
- Service usage. We log usage and technical data such as device type, browser, approximate region, timestamps, and error logs. We use analytics tools to understand aggregate traffic.
- Chat and context. Messages you send, thread titles, onboarding answers, and related context are stored so we can operate chat history, enforce limits, and generate responses.
- Billing. When you subscribe, our payment processor handles payment details. We receive subscription status, identifiers, and related billing metadata—not your full card number, which is stored by the payment processor under its policies.
- Support. If you contact us through Help & Support, we store the name, email, topic, and message you submit so we can respond.
- Network. If you apply to Network features, we store the application fields you submit and, if approved, optional contact details you provide in accordance with the flow.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to provide and secure the Service; process subscriptions; authenticate users; maintain chat history and quotas; generate responses; process Network applications; communicate with you about the Service; detect abuse and fraud; comply with law; and improve reliability and performance.
3. Conversations
We use what you share in chat to operate Gnotheia and return answers to you. We do not sell your personal chat content to third parties for their own marketing.
4. Infrastructure and third parties
Like most online services, we use trusted third parties to help run Gnotheia—for example authentication, payments, hosting, databases, and analytics. They process data only as needed to provide the Service, under agreements that require appropriate safeguards.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for session management, security, preferences, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work if you disable essential cookies.
6. Retention
We keep information as long as needed to operate the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data type (for example, billing records may be kept longer than transient logs). You may request deletion as described below, subject to legal exceptions.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA (including to know, delete, and opt out of certain sharing). To exercise rights, contact us using the Help & Support flow in the app or the contact information below. We may verify your request before responding.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. International users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our vendors operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your country.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
12. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact us through Help & Support in the app (signed-in users), or email support@gnotheia.com.
